It was Market Day in Kalaw and there was plenty of produce for sale Another early morning market scene Annette negotiates a purchase of peanut toffee. We rode out for Kalaw into the countryside and the labour intensive harvesting activity was everywhere. The ride was threshed in the fields. The road was variable in quality.. this is a good bit! We stopped for lunch a a villagers house and our guide prepared a meal.  They are chillies drying. This is the main room of the village home we had lunch in. The downstairs is used for the buffalo and feed storage. Buffalo not only pull carts but are also occasionly riden. Traditionally dressed women getting out of a truck to start the days work.
